Manly Christmas Choral Concert
Where: Manly Oval, Belgrave Street, Manly
When: 6:30pm-8:30pm
This year’s Choral Concert will fill Manly Oval with the joy of Christmas when hundreds of local singers and the Northern Beaches Orchestra join to celebrate the coming of the festive season. Families and friends will gather together to celebrate through music and song the joy and goodwill, and of course not forgetting the arrival of Santa, that Christmas brings.

Freshwater Community Christmas Carols
Where: Freshwater Reserve (nehind Freshwater SLSC)
When: 7:30pm-8:30pm (BBQ from 6:30pm)
The Combined Churches of Freshwater host this harmonious event each year with the financial support of Freshwater Community Bank branch of Bendigo Bank.
The 2011 Freshwater Community Raffle is drawn at 7:20pm on the evening. With over $3,000 worth of prizes donated by local businesses of Freshwater and surrounding suburbs, the money generated from this raffle is donated to Bear Cottage, Manly, who provide invaluable support and a special environment for families who are caring for a terminally ill child.

Duke’s Day
Where: Freshwater SLSC, Freshwater Beach
When: From Sunrise to 12pm
On the anniversary of our famous Duke Kahanamoku’s surfing display at Freshwater Beach, the surf life saving club’s environmental team, SurfNomes, are hosting the inaugural ‘Duke’s Day’ to create awareness of environmental sustainability. There will be exhibits from local eco-trade, surfing movie archives, Hula Challenge and various surfing demonstrations from dawn till midday.
