Valley United Ladies Day

Where: Starting at Harbord Hilton and moving to Harbord Park.
Valley United are again hosting their annual day for all the ladies of Freshwater. This year with a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party inspired theme.

Harbord Scout Group AGM and Canoe Presentation.
Where: The scout hall at 43 Stirgess Avenue Curl Curl.
Harbord Community Bank has donated 2 canoes to Harbord Scouts.

APRIL 17th
Sth Curl Curl SLSC – Ocean Swim
Where: South Curl Curl Beach to Freshwater Beach
The Harbord Community Bank sponsored  South Curly SLSC Ocean Swim has been run and won for 2010.  This destination swim from South Curly to Freshwater beach continues to grow in size and popularity and really does showcase the beauty of living in this part of the Northern Beaches. Monies raised from this swim, and from our sponsors contributions go a long way towards financing the purchase of lifesaving equipment needed to put patrols on our challenging piece of sand. First male across the line was Darrin Jones with female contender Luane Rowe in hot pursuit.

MARCH 7th
Freshwater SLSC – Barney Mullins Swim
Where: Freshwater Beach
In 2010 we had over 300 entrants  participating in the  1.5k event. Most swimmers were from the local area  but many travelled from the southern and western areas of Sydney to participate. Many Freshwater members entered the event with club members Jordan Burdan and Alisha Miller being the first  male and female place getters  respectively while  the youngest swim entrant  current freshwater ‘cadet’ Lara Dragasevich, won the U18 Girls event. Trevor Sargeant, Alisha Miller, Jordan Burdan and Sandra Kleiner.
